Are we just pretending MONDAY doesn't exist?

My best friend fell 2 weeks ago, drunk. She broke her arm in 2 places and also her elbow. She has had 3 ops and has lost all feeling in her right hand now. The doctor said this morning it is unlikely she will get the feeling back. What a horrible freak accident. :(

You're at the age now where 'having a fall' is a problem.

I’d never ghost someone I actually went on a date with

I might make up an excuse about why I don’t want to go on a second date but that’s a whole different story

I ghost my wife and I live with her.

I only ghost people I want to see again, because it’s almost guaranteed we will have a mutual friend and end up in the same intimate social setting. :)

God it’s pissing it down here

thinking of putting the heating on
I am currently staying at my ex'es house to cat sit, and I might whack the heating up to max since I won't be paying for it. I've already had a good raid of his chocolate cupboard (:ken: etc.)

Anyone else in the middle of a big storm at the moment? It's been going on for over an hour here. It was right on top of us, it's been about 5 miles away for a little while now (going by the old 'count how many seconds between the lightning and thunder to work out how many miles away it is' trick)
It’s been absolutely bollocking it down on and off all morning.

There is no shame in ghosting, moving abroad, or faking your death and stealing a new identity from the fisherman you and your friends murdered last summer to end a relationship before the third date.

I'm glad I've spent my years injuring myself off my tits or in the pursuit of adrenaline rushes so I transition into dithering old goat quite seamlessly.

Well, the rain stayed off, I have had several beers and now I shall watch the cricket whilst having a doze.

I've just been in a hydroponics shop asking questions, so many questions, and I've come out none the wiser. I imagine the young shop assistants are all having a good laugh at the almost-mortified-with-embarrassment middle-aged bint. Suffice to say I'll need a much bigger tent than I thought I would meaning I'll have to remove everything from the spare room which means I have to sort out the loft first. So I've treated myself to a proper respirator mask from B&Q for going in the loft but I'll have to train myself not to panic when wearing it first because it has a cushioned seal on it.

Really pissing it down again torrentially now.

Sorry @big ron but you really couldn't have been more wrong about this Monday, I'm petitioning for you to ban yourself for an hour for getting our hopes up :kim:

It's pretty overwhelming at first but a good tent, light and extractor fan/filter is all you need to get started. A lot of places sell start gets. Use the fabric bags rather than pots, and grow in coco rather than soil. I can send you a week by week feed chart if you like too. Its dead easy to follow.

Well, we appear to have hit Autumn already in Glasgow which is some bullshit. Also, I am shit at making videos.

It is the exact same here. It has been DARK since about 2pm. Well not dark, dark but DREADFULLY DULL, and quite COLD.

Aren’t we all glad Monday is over? Friday seems so far away though :(

Interview tomorrow morning, and I'm really nervous - I've written notes but I'm worried they're a load of rubbish. I just want it over with now, I can't stand the waiting and anticipating :basil:

Hope it goes well Mr COB. You do sound well prepared which should hopefully make you
feel more confident when you're in the flow

That's standard feeling pre interview feeling, isn't it?

Any time I've gone into an interview feeling like that it's because I've prepared well and am placing pressure on it in my head as a result.

You'll be fine - good luck!
