Are you stocking up?

I don't get paid until the end of the month so if Russia could wait til after then to switch off all the fridges in big Tesco, and Iran could hold off on flooding my basement by blowing up the Thames barrier, it'd be much appreciated.

I have some tins in the spare room and bottled water in the kitchen. Need to buy a camping stove. We already own a headtorch and first aid kit.

We get power cuts sporadically around here. Old roads, dated tech.

Whenever I watch post apocalyptic shows I always realise how fucking USELESS I would be.

I’d never be allowed in a gang and any community would turn me away :( I’d be that loner in the opening credits that gets GARROTTED by a rogue antelope while foraging for berries that would have killed me anyway :(
You’d be the male entertainment, love

I don't think I have experienced a proper one in my adult life either. Very brief outages on a few occasions where you often don't realise until you see the cooker clock flashing, but not one of the 'get the candles out' variety since I was a child.

I'd prefer to stockpile the bodies of the politicians and tech bro billionaire psychopaths who are leading us to the end times.

Actually, the only time I can remember an actual powercut is when a portion of central Glasgow lost power, but it only affected me because traffic lights stopped working and crossing roads was difficult. My home wasn't affected at all.

It's times like this I become grateful for that impulsive evening when I decided I wanted to embark on a calorie deficit and placed a bulk order of HUEL

And I'm even more grateful that I immediately decided it was ridiculous and went back to eating grease and cake, because I now have several months of unopened BEIGE PEA POWDER in my cupboard as a back-up.

I always stockpile like an apocalypse is coming. I constantly overbuy and have put many tinned goods in to food banks but still have far too much. I feel terribly guilty even writing that, but maybe have always been doing the right thing?

Nothing like the electric going off while you're deep in a khole. Thats where the meaning of life really is.

I didn't realise this was a recent matter until friends on my course at uni were talking about it 😅

At the moment (and it's usually the case) I have plenty of preserved and long-life food and essentials, at uni and at home too. Not worrying just yet :D

Wouldn't it be wild if this was all just a genius marketing idea from FRAY BENTOS
