Ariana Grande, Lana Del Rey & Miley Cyrus - Don't Call Me Angel (from Charlie's Angels reboot)

It sounds like they're singing over a default iPhone alarm tone, it's very urban.

The older Charlie's Angles movies were campy and ridiculous (they literally fly on several occasions), so I hope this one isn't going to go down the grating #girlboss, Wonder Woman route.

(or at least if they do, have Charlie's voice played by HILLARY)

marry me but renounce hillary first.

(yes, i'm your bernie).

The original Angels films were utter DRECK and rightfully mostly forgotten.

Though they're probably the best thing über hack McG has ever put his name too, which, given his hideous oeuvre, isn't saying MUCH.

i love the last angel's movies. still do and i don't care if they're problematic! (they're not, they're amazing)

The lyrics and the pacing of this are really quite clunky.

Except for Lana Del Rey's iconic middle-eight, rising above time, space and the mediocrity surrounding it like one of her mumbly, incoherent ad-libs.

Potentially white hot music collaborations rarely add up to more then the sum of their parts.

For every Under Pressure and Walk This Way (80s original), there's a Love Song and Walk This Way (00s cover) ready to piss on one's chips.

Well I’ve listened to this again and it’s even better now so I love it.

And I rarely even like music nowadays.

I’m lukewarm to this. I am replaying it but it’s not really leaving any impact one way or another, like much of Ariana’s recent output. I’d prefer it if Lana and Miley’s contributions weren’t afterthoughts.

It’s less of an “independent women” and more of a “feel good time” in terms of Charlie’s angels singles.

Lust For Life (the song) clearly started out as a Weeknd song right? I know the story is he came on board later, after she'd taken the song to Max Martin, but all of her vocal melodies on the verses are SO him I can't imagine that's quite how it went down

Rick Nowels has said in many interviews the original Lust for Life was a "beautiful art house song" and hopes she releases it one day. She took it to Max Martin who said the verses should be the chorus et voila.

It sounds fine, but I'm LIVING for Ariana's hostile takeover of the whole song.

Not really seeing the Lana worship.

this is really not very good...so much potential.

I quite like it. I must have streamed it a good 3 or 4 times. To the top!

Is this really what constitutes as bubblegum pop these days?

I'd rather have A*Teens.

So this tanked, didn't it?

Weird move to release it so soon before the movie. When is that even out?
