AS4 EP06: LaLaPaRuZa

I wonder if it's going to be some RIDICULOUS GOOPERY of having them all lipsync against each other other than the top two...

So top two go through, the other 8 lip sync (1 from the remainers, 1 from the leavers) and the top two pick who goes through or something?

And if so, WHEN WILL RU EVER LEARN ? :D
 
There was a press release yesterday about it, here's what it says about the format:

According to a VH1 press release, the episode’s twist will involve a “midseason lip-sync smackdown” between the eliminated queens (Masters, Farrah Moan, Gia Gunn, Latrice Royale) and the final six queens still in the competition (Valentina, Trinity The Tuck, Manila Luzon, Naomi Smalls, Monét X Change, Monique Heart).

“For the first time in Drag Race Herstory, all of the eliminated All Stars get a chance to return to the competition,” the release reads. “But first they have to send home a competing All Star.“
 
So kind of what I said then. Why only four “LIFE”s though?

Could be interesting if Latrice can pull it out of the bag, though- I don’t see the other returning queens as amazing lip-syncers...possibly Jasmine at a push.
 
It's a shame that the four who have left are 75% unworthy of even being considered for a return

Yeah, it's a twist that works better if you feel somebody has been unfairly sent home, but Jasmine and Latrice barely made an effort, Farrah wasn't an All Star by anybody's standards, and Gia was fantastic television but dreadful at the actual competition.
 
I guess Manilla and Monet will be safe, so it'll be last week's 'bottom four' versus the four eliminated queens?
 
I reckon Latrice will be the only queen who gets back in the competition
 
Sadly I think that this will be at the expense of Monique :(
 
I'm glad Latrice is potentially getting a second chance. A whole series without even seeing her lip sync would have been such a fucking waste.
 
Ooh it would be good if they went up against the queen who sent them home

Although that'd leave Naomi and Monet safe, which doesn't make a lot of sense in terms of last week's challenge.

It's all so CONFUSING.

I wouldn't really care of Monique went, I've found her VERY annoying this season. The brown cow print on everything, the attempt to meme the worst of her phrases. If you want to know how a TRUE queen does it, learn from Alyssa. Nothing she said in AS2 was a repetition of her own season. :disco:

I don’t care if she goes either, although I’d obviously rather have her than so-called belov’d Latrice. And if I hear her saying “America” ONE MORE TIME :argh:

I think me and Miss Beverley are Drag Race twins...

Having said that, I wouldn’t mind Latrice coming back if that elimination kicks her arse into gear but yes, at whose expense?

Monique doesn’t deserve to go yet (particularly since she won two weeks ago and was a comfortable third last week), But I wouldn’t be sad if it was her.

So basically it's yet another episode dedicated to flogging Ru's latest album. :zombie:

Shame, the concept has the potential to be fabulous - if grossly unfair - if they were lip syncing to actual classics instead of a bunch of tired, low energy vocoder workouts.
 
that's not really fair though is it? they should have only been able to choose one of the bottom 4.

and what vor said - what a wasted opportunity to have them lip syncing to decent songs.

They at least ought to let them lipsync to songs by RPDR alumni.

I mean most of them are considerably less half arsed and sell considerably more than Ru herself, don't they?
 
AND I wouldn't be surprised if Ru has something in all their contracts that she's entitled to 10% of all future income in perpetuity anyway.
 
I quite like SUPER QUEEN to be honest, but let's face it, she ain't done much since SISSY THAT WALK.

But yes, what an opportunity lost. Imagine Latrice vs Monet with an all time CLASSIC :disco:

I think it will be pretty clear by the style of song who is the favoured performer to stay.

I called it halfway through the episode, but still really happy with how that went down. The first three duels were pretty one-sided and obvious, but that Sissy That Walk battle was jaw dropping.

Now, DON'T FUCK IT UP (again) LATRICE :evil:

Of the other lip syncs, Jasmine clearly couldn't be arsed and didn't seem to know the words.
Poor Farrah seemed like her wig was limiting her movements a lot, but she pulled it back. Valentina was iconic though. Totally living the song.
I couldn't tell you a thing Gia did because Naomi was mesmerising. She didn't do much but she looked so fabulous she didn't even need to. :disco:
