ASFM: Diddyvision - GROUP 1 Viewing parties

I think I’ll add it to my playlist and give it a second shot as it feels like it might need a few plays to click

Release Me man dancing in the belly button is surely miss congenial

Now i quite like Open Eyes, even if she doesn’t quite have the range for the verses

Open Eyes is great, takes me back to 2011 when EVERYTHING sounded like that.

Erm the gangnam style one wasn't very fun was it

I like Virus! I do think I would hate it if I was listening in the morning hungover though.

Anggun didn't make much of an impression.

Lendo Calendo is trashy but in a good way. I think. I could either end up loving or hating it. And for the record I love Dragosta din Tei

Tamare Tamare is a vibe on one hand. On the other hand its boring

The pre-chorus to Little Poison sounds so much like something else and its killing me!

I am liking it though. Its the second one I'm adding to my library (after Lendo Calendo)

Fever Boy:

And a bit 'Shake It Off' by Tay Tay and also a bit Peaches.

but worse!

Disco Hearts I like but I don't think I'll remember at all ever

I like the MOOD of Take Hold of Me. One of my faves so far. I'm reading the reactions and Ane Brûlée is :D

I LOVE Release Me. Best so far! The chorus is hypnotic

Open Eyes is very US pop radio in 2011. For that reason I find it nostalgic and like it

The City Don't Care:

For some reason I have an inkling that this one is @RJN’s

Could it be??? The song is good but I was expecting more from the chorus

Mad About You is pleasant but will need more plays to really bed in. Hooverphonic is a great band name. And they are Belgian right? so the country name makes sense

I think 2NE1 was the first Kpop band I ever knew about. Sounds kind of like Neon Jungle (or maybe they sounded like this). I like that Kpop songs have random English words (in this case "million dollar baby" and the n-word :gross:).

I like Beautiful Things (I'm hearing more Michelle Branch than Alanis or Sheryl)

Sai & Co is catchy but I think I would prefer it with a less annoying singer (and if I was 9)

dumblonde I know of (they were 2 members of short-lived but :disco: American girl group Danity Kane). This song is ok, but I imagine it was painful for anyone with a hangover

Creeper is good!

I was terrified of Carrie for years as a child, and this is making me feel very unsettled. If I could chop one, it would be this

I've listened to every song in full but I can't do this one

I see everyone hated the Doctor Who song, but I like it a lot :D

The last one was very :disco:

All in all, there were some good songs here, but not much to be enthused about. Round 2 looks better!

Thanks for doing this @Diddy! I think I would have enjoyed it more if I wasn't listening alone and typing for just myself, but oh well

I suppose I should start listening to this. A meeting-free 90 mins at work seems fine to do that.

Shibuya Ward honestly sounds like something you'd expect in the soundtrack to something on CBEEBIES

Well that onstage duet thing is SOMETHING. I mean I don't know what it is. But it sure is something.
