How are people going to use their congeniality stars? I’m thinking of maybe giving them to songs I liked but didn’t manage to give points to. Or should they go to the top songs?
 
I gave one of mine to a bad song that I felt deserved recognition for the sheer NERVE of the person submitting it.

I don’t think it’s a spoiler if I say two of my three stars went to songs I didn’t vote for. They were in recognition of things I thought fit the brief of ‘fun’, even if they weren’t necessarily my sort of song.

I don't mean a relationship between the number of points, I mean between the average poster's 14 selected songs and their star selections. They can give their points to 14/40 of the songs, and roughly the same proportion of their stars are going to songs in that selection.
I don't know how to explain it more clearly, but it's shaking out almost the same way as if the stars were randomly scattered
 
I’m trying to mark this now and am sorely tempted to penalise some of these feckin place names. Plus about 70% sound like variations of the same backing track, it’s very confusing.

I've had a Burns Night Zoom party and now I'm going through my 17-song shortlist full of whisky to see if that changes things.
