I've just checked the receipts by the way because I feel a bit guilty, my stated preferences were Robyn, Wannabe, Reel Big Fish and the secret other one.

In conclusion, we're both equally at fault for you not sending What is Love.
 
This man is clearly incapable of growing proper facial hair. With any luck, his girlfriend is going to smack him with the crowbar.
 
I suppose nobody here remembers jae's attempt to revive ASFM a few years ago. She also did a cover version one, but I think only about two people submitted songs. One of them was me. I submitted this.

I love it and the guys are very cute. But I ultimately decided

A) I didn't want to do an Alanis and
B) it was TOO rocky for moopy.

Also they didn't need to change the gender references

I had to cut it in the end because there were already so many guitars knocking around I was worried I might accidentally Jonestown the entire forum. Suffice to say I was hugely in favour of it as a song.

Well for full disclosure, I was going to enter that Chinese Lena cover, but I didn’t really feel it, I thought a total cover (including production) was a bit boring.

I liked the flailing arms for Pink Lady but alas, it was taken. But the novelty wore off a bit for me so I guess that’s alright :D

I was considering a hi-energy Japanese boy band cover of YMCA that had no gay connection at all (what is it with Japanese and Village People covers?) but it went on a bit long and you all hate men singing so.

finally the madness and brimstone of Hero came into my life and I haven’t looked back
 
Well since only my choice of the thriving, jiving Genevieve Waite was used, I'll copy and paste my other entry when I submitted my thus unreleased Kalavision 1.0 song, which just happens to be a cover too (of the Diane Warren penned J-Hud classic).

Sorry that it's not on spotify, but I don't mind if it gets less votes. I think the YouTube clip with the empty streets of Rome footage is "strong enough" on it's own :disco:

Now this one I was planning to use, but I couldn't work out from the scant clues on Google whether this or the Jennifer Hudson version was the cover. I was too afear'd to present a Cher song to a gay interest chat lounge if it turned out not to have been a cover.
 
The reason it's not on spotify (my absolute favourite subject) is because Cher hated her vocal, likely because of who she was up against. Here is J'HUD bracing herself for disapproving gays with the original remixed by Dana International's "ata ha DJ sheli" ex best friend.

I sent Self Control! I love it but didn't contemplate it for too long as I figured people would find it a bit of watered down electro-ish version with subpar vocals compared to the MAJESTY of the original.

Well luckily I sent a similar subpar fun piece of tat with Million Reasons so I trust you'll all be voting for that instead :)

I sent the All The Small Things cover too which I nearly went with. Right or wrong I'm glad I didn't although I'm quite fond.

What is going on? Is everyone SELF SABOTAGING? It's like no one sent the song they actually WANTED to :D

My two takeaways from last night.
 
My other choice was actually another entrant in the competition, which would have been fun.

I was going to submit 'You sexy thing' by Deee-lite. However as it wasn't on Spotify (well it didn't used to be but now actually is and I didn't double check...) and the fact that my avatar may have given too many clues I decided not to send it.

I sent exactly what I wanted in THIS context but would never have sent it in a LIMITLESS contest.

I also considered this Cher rarity as well but it also wasn’t on Spotify. :(

 
I’m case you haven’t guessed I was feeling pretty miserable when I was looking for options!

Lucille, that's the one song on Stars that isn't a cover :D

I wouldn't have said anything though, at least not until the results show for the tier of gays who love all that drama stuff.
 
I hope whoever does the next round keeps the outtakes innovation, it is such an important outlet for our creative juices, inner saboteurs, and even outward hostilities.
