Since the release of our well-judged and sensitive charity single Feed The Foreigns (They’ve Never Heard Of Christmas Lol), Moop-Aid has never wavered in its commitment to patronising people from other countries.

It’s with this in mind that we welcome you to participate in the Worldvision Song and Music Contest 2023

THE RULES

• DM me a number between 1 and 125
• Receive a country (or cluster of countries…)
• Wade through fifteen playlists of faceless trap before finding a passable song by a white woman who moved to your country two years ago

In an effort to include as many countries as possible, I’ve grouped some together that were potentially limiting on their own but, together, should offer a rich bouquet of faceless trap and occasional female vocalists with production values. Instead of picking easy/hard countries, I’ll give you the opportunity to pick another number once only. After that, you’re stuck with whatever country you get.

‘But Butters’, I hear you mew, ‘you have the raw, masculine sensuality of a young Rod Steiger, but how will I know what artists are acceptable for my country?’

Excellent question @Iguana! Your representative fits the bill if:

• They’re native to your country (Loreen is fine for Sweden)
• They’re a band with at least one member from your country (Steps are fine for England and Wales)
• They’re part of your country’s diaspora (Sade is fine for Nigeria)
• They’re a citizen of your country (Tina Turner is fine for Switzerland, sorry purists)

- You can search Last FM for artists from particular countries
- There's a profile on Spotify called 'The Sounds of Spotify': https://open.spotify.com/user/thesoundsofspotify?si=a2ceb2c3c43c415c
They have playlists for pretty much every country sorted by genre. If your country is Moopvania, search Spotify for 'sound of Moopvanian pop' and you'll get a regularly updated playlist of hits

I've seen that! It's such a nice town; my friends who live there tell me it has a microclimate so it's always a couple of degrees hotter there. I'm not a weather scientist so I just believe that without question.
