Azerbaijan 2019: Chingiz - Truth

I’m here for Azerbaijan doing Bedtime Story, especially if Farid Mammadov or whatever he’s called from 2013 is in the bed
 
Eurofandom going crazy over a 5 second snippet like they did over In Too Deep and Crazy. Let’s just wait and see.

He Is hot AF but the song is so generic. It's fine for what it is but it sounds over produced, especially his vocals. I think it's a qualifier, especially from the female-heavy second semi, but I'm guessing a mid table result. This was written by the same guy who did Bones and In Too Deep and it shows.
 
They really didn't make the best of his looks in the video, did they? Gagging over the fact that he's basically called GENGHIS.

Not sure what to make of the song?

I think it’s great! Hopefully we’ll see Azerbaijan back in the top 10. It’s been a while (2013?).
 
Another good song in the 2nd semi-final !! Agree with Kevin again !!. A top 10 for Azerbaijan, but will not win. It could be a blood bath in the 2nd semi.
 
Possibly my favourite verses of 2019, I wish the chorus was bigger though. Still like it.
 
I think it's fucking fantastic on many many levels not to mention he must be the hottest guy at Eurovision that I can remember.

Also, QUITE NICE COAT AND TOP. Someone should have popped a note through to Genghis (:disco:) to say that sometimes less is more. As in, we’re quite capable of imagining what the teats look like, thanks very much
 
For the third time in four years Azerbaijan sends my second-favourite song of the year.

Spotify played one of his other tracks after this and I swear that’s not the same person singing (maybe another Chingiz?)

Not sure I love what he does with the chorus but he can quite frankly tell me to shut up about it whenever he wants :horny:
 
It's just an octave too high. Totally unnecessary.

But incredibly hot.
 
Suddenly living for this now, the final perf really raised it up, that ethnic breakdown was great.

I thought it didn’t have much going on after the robot arms, but the giant blue woman was pretty cool and the astral projection was :disco:

Just glad they’re getting decent marks again
 
I've just unfollowed Chingiz on instagram. He's become quite unbearable. And although he is obviously quite ridiculously hot, there is also a kind of vapid blandness to his looks, I've decided.

I do find Poison Pen isn't the most reliable source at times.
