Has anyone tried this?

I gave it a bash earlier this week and it's just awful and hateful and is making me miserable but it's also funny and SO GOOD.

I've never been more disgusted by a fictional television character.

I really enjoyed it and yes what a fucking creep. Always love Sharon Horgan.

It has been renewed for another season, which is interesting as it felt like a pretty complete story.

It's good and great in places, but it was about 3-4 episodes too long I thought? For me it sagged and felt like a slog from just past the mid-point. A few of those murder attempts and dare I say even one or two of the sisters were clearly added just to pad it out to 10 eps. All the performances were fantastic though, and WHAT A THEME TUNE / opening titles sequence.

I'm also not entirely sure the ending worked completely because how didn't the police autopsy show that he'd been strangled???? That's quite a violent death to not be picked up on pre-burial?! but tbh I wasn't fully paying attention by the end so maybe it was explained.

I'm totally up for s2 if it's a whole new story with the sisters. Maybe they can go on holiday and become embroiled in something mad like when EastEnders would do a spin-off DVD with the Slaters

Just found out the second series has started.

Season 2 was more patchy than the first, though it picked up as it went on. Fiona Shaw made quite an impression and the lead of the new GoT spin off pops up in a fairly minor love interest role. Definitely should be left there though.
