I'm totally in the mood to watch this again and eat my words, throw them up, and then eat them again. The ice blonde hair with that fringe is intriguing me. I would always argue a true film noir is a b-picture. Maybe that's what I droned on about when talking about Double Indemnity (1944).

Yeah, I know you said it doesn't fit your definition of noir in full, but I also thought you disliked Stanwyck's performance. She gets the ice cold bitch spot on, regardless of genre.
