i don’t know what to make of this but his first movies are stone cold classics so I’ll definitely give it a shot.

And of course the poster is horrendous

this will flop very hard because the main question the trailer provokes is "what genre is this please?" but I think it looks quite interesting. I hated Hereditary though, which was very "umm... why???"

holy moly what a hack job

It has to be intentional. Like he’s cashing on the success of the 2 previous movies to do this whacky movie that apparently he’s been working on forever.

Has anyone seen this? I’m loathe to waste my time as I can just imagine what it will be like!

Tempted to go this Thursday but also waiting on some Moopy reviews first in case it’s dire.

I did. I appreciate that he spent all his currency making this extremely bizarre trial of a movie.

I don’t think it’s bad or say as indulgent as something like Babylon. It’s an experience and seeing it once is more than enough.

Patti gets to chew scenery near the end which was quite fun.

Well this was certainly... something. Parts of it really worked for me, but parts just felt a bit Ari Aster greatest his-y. (The last 30 or so is VERY Hereditary)

Also I nearly screamed at
