Best “straight” music

A current one that I think most of us can agree on (although is he on the verge of coming out as a SURPRISE GAY after his recent gallavanting with Elton John and Dua Lipa?)

I mean duetting with Kylie instantly grants you a gay pass, but even Wild Roses notwithstanding, I've always had a soft spot for this problematic ludicrousness.

I enjoy a surprising amount of Nick Cave. He can get into a Pantomime Villain thing when it suits him too.

Seattle 90s grunge is basically my straight music era of choice. I grew up with it and loved pretty much most of it.

Alice in Chains I have a particularly soft spot for. Layne Staley (RIP) was an angel on earth and he was so handsome - I think he looks a bit like our very own @Baby It's Ag Outside

I'm quite fond of Paul Simon. Quite hetty, but he did marry Carrie Fisher and have a long-running partnership with a blonde himbo which ended acrimoniously, and what could be gayer than that?

There's some serious anti-Madness sentiment on Moopy. I least Kate likes The Fall, I seem to be completely on my own with this one.

Madness's videos were always a low-budget fanny-about but the songs always had a lot more to them. Which is where they began to struggle in the mid 80s - when they made an almost completely straight video for "Michael Caine", it was speculated that they were disbanding!
