Three divas*, one titanic anthem.

*we don't acknowledge the Air Supply version.

Good question. I go for Rush (Rush) because the Rush is neverending. I think her emotion really floods the song in a way that the other 2 don't quite hit for me (although let's be honest Celine does wipe the floor from a technical tour de force standpoint). I'm not that familiar with the Branigan version so perhaps in years to come I could give it more consideration.

I love Celine normally, but Jennifer Rush nailed that song so much for me that I can't accept any other version.

Céline for me. Her version elevates the song for me. The production is better, there’s more melodical flourishes, and her vocal is better, and her adlibs are great. Her version builds and builds to a really powerful ending.

Jennifer’s is great, but I find the production a bit ‘cold’. Her vocal is great through but I feel I believe Céline more.

Laura’s is also good but not quite there. It’s a tad messy and I don’t think the key change is really needed.

Celine but only by a slither. The 80s production on J-Ru's ages it a bit, which is probably the deciding factor.

Also Celine Dion.

I think I knew J-Ru's before Celine, but Celine absolutely sold the song to me as an aspiring 13 year old homosexual. It was also the first time I knew of Celine.

Went with Jennifer, I think her vocal suits the song best. The others deliver great vocals too but for me Jennifer has a bit more emotion.
