She may not decamping to Liverpool but we mae as well have a thread for the new material from Birdy, as the new single is quite good:





It definitely has a similar feel to Raincatchers (so a bit of 80s Kate) but there is a bit of Enya in there too I think.

I love Birdy, she has an extraordinary voice.

Liking that. The last album was SO GOOD. Her voice hits different for me versus the array of singer songwriter pop stars out there right now. She's always on my radar. Looking forward to the new stuff.

Very good on first listen. Automatic and Tears Don't Fall are the initial stand outs of the new songs, but liking Ruins I and II too.
 
Looking forward to diving into this! I love her voice so much and she can seemingly apply it to any sound…
 
Really impressed with this, a very consistent album. It definitely openly wears its influences (Ruins II especially is right back in Kate mode) but it is so well done.
 
Well this is absolutely wonderful. I agree, very consistent - the only song I didn't really care for was Battlefield, so that's a good run. I'll have to go back and listen to the album in full.
 
This was number three in the first midweeks. I was a bit surprised but her last couple of albums charted at four. Hopefully it won't fall too far.

It has been discounted on Amazon so picked up the signed CD.
 
She does great numbers on Spotify too. Maybe she has some international traction as well.
