She'll be in it for 10 seconds, won't she? :square:

I'd rather her as the new Black Panther than Leticia Wright though!

I really am curious how they're going to play this, considering the death of Chadwick Boseman. The film's subtitle makes me wonder if there won't actually be a new BP and it'll be more of an ensemble, which could work (I'm expecting Letitia Wright to be SIDELINED following that antivax hoo-ha a while ago too :eyes:).

I think Leticia is going to be persona non grata chez Disney. She's the kind of uncontrollable hot mess they don't go for.

It's a shame, because she was by far the best thing in the "Mangrove" episode of "Small Axe", absolutely ripping the screen up.

I thought she was rather irritating in the original Black Panther but it did feel like she could take on the mantle quite easily.

Someone said Storm on Twitter and honestly we can hope (but it’s not true).

Chadwick was good but tbh the movie was more about the villain and the ladies.

What a cursed franchise

We already knew she was a problem but they need to find someone else to be Black Panther

I'm sure Disney has got a backup plan as she's been teetering on the brink for a while now.

Production has shut down indefinitely after Leticia injured herself in August, Ryan Coogler carried on filming without her for scenes she isn't in but they've all been completed. Doesn't sound too good.

Did she injure herself by ingesting horse medicine?

Just replace and reshoot her bits. No one will care.

I read something recently about Winston Duke (M'Baku) negotiating a higher fee for an "expanded role" in the sequel. He was one of my favourite parts of the first movie, so that's good news!

Oh and apparently Letitia Wright's vaccination issues are now "resolved", whatever that means o_O O_o o.O O.o

It’s in the other thread but it deserves to be glorified here

I like the Namor design, adding an Aztec flare is good.

Funny how the fish people look like Navi.

Holy shit :disco:

Does this even have a synopsis yet? I have no idea what it's going to be about other than it moving the Wakanda mythology in a whole new direction.

I guess it will set up the new Black Panther, which I assume has not been confirmed either?

There are leaks out there with more specifics (and this trailer confirms some of them), but here's the synopsis from Wikipedia:
Queen Ramonda, Shuri, M'Baku, Okoye and the Dora Milaje, fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T'Challa's death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia and Everett Ross and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda.
The main villain going by the trailer is
Namor, who appears to be leading Atlantis in an invasion of Wakanda. Namor is essentially Marvel's equivalent to Aquaman, though is often portrayed as more of an anti-hero/occasional villain so that seems to fit with his role here. He's also a mutant :disco:

Apparently the film ends by revealing that the whole Atlantis/Wakanda situation was orchestrated by the nation of Latveria, and we get our first glimpse of the MCU's version of Doctor Doom

I was watching the 90s Fantastic Four animated series the other night and it had Namor in skimpy speedos and nothing else. Can we have that here too please?🙏
