Blobby Saturday

Deliveroo in Bolton doesn't have anything exotic on offer, it's chippy, kebabs, chinese, indian, fried chicken or Subway.
In my bit of Bristol it hasn't been much different. That's why this place delivering is so exciting :disco:

Manchester has all sorts being a large city. There’s a very nice Lebanese restaurant on there that I’m yet to try.

Though my hometown has NOTHING on Deliveroo/Uber Eats (other than ASDA :D)

I think this is only the second time I've used it at home. But when I'm with my friend who lives more centrally, we use it all the time because the options are endless.

I’ve gone to the sushi counter in BIG ASDA for plant based sushi, which someone has recommended to me as amazing. I can’t imagine it is, but I’ve gotten to steal at last a year’s worth of wasabi packets so SWINGS AND ROUNDABOUTS.

When you say the sushi counter do you mean the fishmonger or do Asdas in posh areas have actual sushi counters?! I have never witnessed sushi in any Asda other than the little ready-made ones where the sandwiches live.

Went to Maccy D's as a TREAT after the garden centre (as we don't get them delivered here :() thought I'd give the plant-based burger a try. Was a'ight but the Burger King Rebel Whopper wins that battle by far.

It's definitely not only posh ones. The roughest one here had a refit last year and they have put one in. Interested to see how long it lasts.

To be fair I don't reckon they'd get much sushi trade around here anyway. The pizza counter's always got a queue though, I once had to wait half an hour for Mr F's pizza because it was so busy.

I've always been quite snooty about supermarket cooked pizzas, but my friend absolutely swears by Asda's. I've not put them to the test yet.

Ours just build it to your specifications then you have to bring it home and cook it yourself.

@lolly any idea what Origin Workspace is like in Bristol? I'm going there for a Roly's convention in a couple of weeks :disco:

God we get all the JustEats, UberEats, Deliveroos here. Living so centrally has its perks.

It’s not a posh area! It’s a mega Asda they have in a really rough area just outside the city! And it was a proper sushi bar- they’re launching them in quite a lot, they had a big list on the leaflet/ menu thing they had at the bar…

And it was actually REALLY good, I thought! Mr Sheena had a load of Japanese meat stuff and he loved that too. Looking forward to the end of January to go try the fish stuff!

I've just had to Google it as I didn't know where it was. Very central. Up a big hill. Nice though.

And in the square where House Of Eliot was filmed, so please be sure you and Mandy dress appropriately.

Oooh sounds promising, hopefully it'll make its way up north.

Definitely some northern places on the list.

Or they SOUNDED northern. I obviously wouldn’t know…

I’ve been to Origin Workspace for a work event a few weeks ago! It’s really lovely!

Is it the Sushi Daily counter? I can confirm that there's one in my nearest Asda, which is in a not very fancy area to say the least :tongueout:

I had a weed gummy and some ket, but that doesnt count.

The Tesco on the Middlebrook has a sushi counter, which is the only reason I'll ever go to a Tesco.
