Before the cocaine dust could even settle on our last sync listen, we're back with two more iconic Blondie albums.

POP!, for some reason Pretty Baby (and that track only) is region blocked in the UK on that version.

So shall we go with this, and then finish at Just Go Away? Or I guess we can play on if it takes anyone's fancy.

 
I'd have let Jimmy Destri do TERRIBLE things to me back in the day. Without doubt my first celebrity crush- I remember being STUPIDLY young (I am talking 4 or 5 here) and just staring at him for hours on the record sleeves.

I fucking love Plastic Letters. It smooths out some of the edges of the first album but there's still so much lo-fi punk sensibility about the whole thing.
 
This is the ONLY Blondie album I never play willingly outside of the singles.

I do like Fan Mail though.
 
I don't have particularly fond or strong memories of it. We'll see.

Denis was my favourite Blondie song for a short while as a kid. That ship has long since sailed but there's no denying its impact and that it really is a 10/10.
 
I remember buying Denis - another jukebox single from the post office in a generic sleeve.

I vaguely wonder what the fans of the first album made of a cover version from the sixties becoming such a big hit. I bet there were allegations of selling out.

"Denis" feels like a precursor to "Sunday Girl" in a way even though it's a cover - I prefer the other single from the album but "Denis" is cute

They already had that with the FIRST album. They came from the true punk scene and the first album was too pop. They got loads of "selling out" stick.
 
I love the synth stabs in Bermuda Triangle Blues. They are quintessentially Blondie.
 
Apparently Denis was kept off #1 by first Wuthering Heights and then Matchstalk Men And Matchstick Cats And Dogs. 50% acceptable.
 
Having said all of that, this ain't one of the album's high points...
