That's a sad one, and feels really unexpected. I always enjoyed her on Question Time or any of the times she popped up for a bit of gravitas on talking head shows.

And such a beautiful voice.

Oh no. I enjoyed her on Newsnight Late Review. I always remember her explaining how George W. Bush Jr. saying "folks" wasn't quite as bad as it sounded to UK ears and that Alias Grace was Margaret Atwood's "masterpiece". We remember what we remember ok. She had a great way of speaking.

Oh I completely missed this one. She was a brilliant, witty, intelligent and fair-minded individual I think. And yes despite being 77 this feels unexpected.
