She was arrested several times in later years for inciting racial hatred & I'm pretty sure she said some homophobic things too.

A 1950s icon of cinematic beauty though, if never a great actress.
 
Yeah, she went over to the far right towards the end of her life so it's a "don't let the coffin lid hit your arse" from me.

She was frequently inspired by Bardot. Even the video for What Kind Of Fool is an homage to And God Created Woman.
 
Hid her nazi views behind animal activism (it's always either that or religion isn't it)- and from reading all the tributes this morning it worked!
 
I liked her dancing in La femme et le pantin | The Female (1959).



She was aged-shamed for years. Pity her politics didn't receive the same horror by the sounds of it.
 
By most accounts, she was a bit of a PRIZE CUNT by the end, so sorry I won't be buying into the media a-wailing and a-weeping any more than we would Anita Bryant, just because she did a couple of fun movies 70 years ago.
