Really enjoyed* this, though maybe it lacked the originality of "Talk To Me" and a tad predictable. It ramps up the anxiety and the dread until the last act and Sally Hawkins gives an unhinged Toni Collette style horror performance. The gore is very gnarly too (the knife!!!)

*well, as much as you can enjoy a film like this.

This was much better than Talk To Me. And the ending wasn’t predictable and genuinely shocked me. Brilliant acting from the kids too.

Thinking about actual decent Horror films from the last 5 years, made by independent young filmmakers who started on YouTube - why wasn’t THIS a massive success? :(

I think it was too much of a downer. But yeah, great movie and in my horror top 3 last year, along with The Ugly Stepsister and Weapons.

I really want to watch this but I've heard about a 'gruesome' scene involving teeth which has been putting me off. I'm not usually too bothered about gore as the comments are always overblown and my imagination tends to be worse than the real thing (although I don't watch Terrifier level stuff) but I feel like this one could make me squirm.

It’s a bit grim but it’s very brief and it’s basically
a little boy biting on the end of a knife and it cuts through his lip and goes between his teeth and into his gums.

Don’t know if that will help you decide.

Oh no, yeah it’s really quite grim. I had to look away at one point :D
