Lots of annoying girls so hopefully will make an entertaining season

 
Apparently Velma is AFAB and her act involves performing as both a Drag Queen and Drag King, so that could be an interesting bit of variety we've not seen before
 
Well that was fun, I like that Canada doesn't waste our time with bullshit "I just can't get the moves right" fake out dance rehearsal stuff.
 
That was a pretty entertaining first episode. There’s a few clunkers on the cast but for the most part they seem pretty good

Exactly - no scenes of them recording the vocals or rehearsing the choreography, just straight in with the video. Much appreciated! The lip sync was a bit pointless but entertaining and Paula Abdul was a lot of fun.
 
That was a fun first episode, lots of potential and certainly more LIFE to it than UK S7.

Lemon looked pretty busted in her rap verse, what was that wig?!
 
Enjoyed that a lot. Love that the top queen 'won' the opportunity to be absolutely wiped off the stage by Brooklyn.:basil:

Something tells me Ru won't be adopting that format any time soon.
 
That was indeed fun for a first episode with little at stake.
From what we have seen so far it also seems like the cast is stronger than Season 5’s cast which was a bit disappointing.
 
I've just started and nice as I'm sure he is, I'm glad Brad is gone. Traci is still a bit mortifying but it's one less person sounding like they're reading an autocue every week.
 
Yeah my biggest gripe with Canada is the judging table has always been MEH and very rehearsed
 
I did wonder how the TikTok queen would fare in a lip sync battle, and it turns out…not very well!!

Also, I really hate runways where most of the looks are more cosplay than drag.
 
Well that episode was some rigga morris :D I don't especially mind as the two who were saved despite being BY FAR the worst in their respective categories felt like they had more to give in the long run than the forgettable queen who went out, but still quite ridiculous.

I always feel for second language English speakers during improv challenges, but that Justin Trudeau was truly hard to watch.

I rolled my eyes at yet another showing for perennial middle-of-the-pack Snatch Game choice Theresa Caputo, but fair play, it was by far the standout.

"I SPOKE TO JESUS, HE DOESN'T LIKE YOU!" :D

Allowing the queens who are inevitably just going to stink up the Snatch Game to essentially bypass it was an interesting take that I wouldn't mind other wings of the franchise adopting. The standard wasn't brilliant, but at least it felt a bit less laborious than most recent ones, the Trudeau disaster aside.

Just got passed the Snatch segment.

A good idea (once again - props to Canada), but I don't like Snatch being split.
 
Van Goth being head and shoulders above the rest in her category is sending me. Love a queen having their ego blown up to levels of Emperor's new clothes.
 
I mean, the indignty of last week's gone queen being denied a mirror moment due to a power cut.

The lip sync was very good, the correct choice as Caramulk had some incredible moves after a flat start where Star was giving good facial connection to the song (unfortunately it was just the one expression).

Feel bad for the afab queen - she seems absolutely adorable and just needs a boot up the booty to activate beyond the look.

I look forward to Alyssa next week.

Another great episode, this is leaps ahead of S5 (and S4 tbh) so far.
 
Felt a bit odd that they did the runway in the middle of the episode then never mentioned it again, they went off and got changed and then did the reading challenge and it seemed like the result depended on who did best in that…so the runway seemed a bit superfluous this week! But I agree, a good episode and the reads were quite entertaining.
 
Well that was a deserved elimination this episode. I mean yay for self confidence but my god she’s MEH

That final runway of theirs was one of the ugliest looks I remember seeing for a while.

And what a frankly bizarre category anyway.
 
The winner doing the same lip sync three times worked a charm I guess.

That repeat judge is too bland for words.
