Carly Rae Jepsen - Day and Night (new album era)

I’m finally getting to listen to disc 2 now. I’m up to Motivation and it’s already so much better than the dire disc 1!
 
OK I finally dived into this and consumed the whole thing in one. it's surprisingly digestible in one sitting! the production is consistently her best and it's very nice to have on in the background. most of the initial standouts were probably on Night, I think Motivation is the best song here.

the hooks... I'm not sure where they are. but it's cute.
 
Loneliest and Loveliest remain thoroughly unbothered!
 


The extra songs are very enjoyable - the two Japan bonuses feel the ones most ready to slot into the album proper, but Sixteen and Rising is lovely and those synths on Love Depressed :disco:
