Is it just a pandering and obvious attempt to replicate Call Me Maybe? Or is it an underrated bop that gets unfairly maligned because they chose to lead the album campaign with it?

I do love it but get the immediate criticism it got. And I love the idea of them opening with everything with the Run Away From Me sax as a big statement.

But this is just so good.

Run Away With Me is superior but I think this was an obvious first single. I’m not sure anything else would have done better as she was already relegated as a one hit wonder /novelty artist of sorts even if the album was amazing. This capitalized on that and was a great pop song even if a bit brain dead.

I have a really soft spot for it, I love the verses, the way they build towards the chorus more than the chorus itself
