No. The best way to play is to figure out a traitor, become their friend, and stick with them until the end .

Canada added a $1000 bonus for catching a traitor though, to discourage that style of play

Between the two I wish Leigh Anne had gone rather than Jerry. Feel like she had her moment with the Touch routine and she isn't bringing that much else - certainly nothing on the level of redder than a fox's ass at gooseberry time.

I guess the advantage of nobbling a Traitor is you don't want to have to leave yourself having to kill all of them and needing to basically guess every single one correctly when the game gets to its closing stages.
