finally, finally out next week, August 1.

this was a real stunner at Primavera, I can't wait for the studio version.
 
video is a big budget affair shot in NYC with many a wig and set piece. street teasers -

 
Keen to hear a finished version of this. Do we think an album is nigh?
 
i think the album will come within six months or so. I don't see an announcement for an album and a quick campaign for a Q3 release.

Sabrina is releasing soon so I'd probably wait it out, put out a couple more singles and release the album in a quiet moment after Christmas to be the first big name to release in 2026.
 
Makes sense. Her next tour could be pretty wild and that has to be borne in mind too.
 
not sure I'm hearing a HIT but this is great. I think the vocal could pop harder in the mix but I guess it's quite mid 90s like this.
 
Slightly disappointed that Saskatchewan isn't in fact the main hook, but very nice nonetheless.
 
I fear she's at a point in her career after exploding with an album full of pop anthems now that anything different she tries is gonna be met with a lot of critique or a big shrug. but this is gorgeous songwriting.
 
Given she hates being famous, it's probably a very natural step that future releases be as uncommercial as possible

I really like this, more than Giver. It is very 90s alt pop female inspired. Dreams by Cranberries fittingly came on after auto play. I wish it had a bit more of a climax in the bridge though. I could see this being a bit of a sleeper hit and lingering on the streaming chart for awhile. The chorus hits
 
This is excellent. I hear those other more alt 90s influences but the melody of the last section is very it must have been love, but it's over now...

(SEMI OT) but given your industry knowledge/connections Madame @Jark do you think the Madonna album will be out this year or is it a given that it'll be 2026 now?

well she seems to be recording still and her albums usually leak months ahead of time so lets say 2026

I literally came here to post how great the last minute or so is.... the video definitely elevates the song too.

Those Spotify numbers look similar to The Givei's debut (in the UK at least), so let's see how it holds. Feels too subtle to be a smash but I hope I'm wrong.
 
It feels like various hooks from this song have been stuck in my head all weekend. Very much not got away.
 
If she gave us just one song of that quality per year, I’d take a 5 year waiting period until her next album.

The way this just builds and builds and builds is gorgeous, the video is stunning. The last 90 seconds or so? The drama, the cinema, the vocals! Instant classic.
 
Definitely something nostalgic about this song. It's definitely got a 90s alternative sound, but the melody also reminds me so much of "It Must've Been Love" by Roxette.
