I'd marked all the vegan stuff as no subs because I was worried they'd just throw in the meat version. "Hi, I know you wanted the vegetarian square sausage but we were all out so he's the real thing; look, you can see an eyelash there!"

You wait forever to hear back for a job interview but once you do they always want it RIGHT THAT MINUTE don't they? :manson:

Was it not a Tesco order? I put notes on my Tesco order to tell them exactly what I want as a sub and also notes like "longest date possible please, it's for the tortoise" or "sub Galia then Cantaloupe but never Watermelon, it's vile". It seems to work. It was an effort at first putting all the notes in but whenever I order that item again it auto-populates my sub ticks and notes. I also have notes on pickled onion Monster Munch that say "the sexiest Monster Munch flavour" or (on yesterday's delivery) "need fish finger butties now!". You know what they say? Small things amuse small minds :D

To be fair if I was in the business of picking orders for home deliveries I'd want to see weird little shit like that :D

It was but I'm a novice at this having only done it once before so I wasn't really sure what to do with notes. I'm sure I could have some fun with that in the future but my main concern was getting something made from mechanically reclaimed lips & arsehole meat as a "substitute" cos I know people to whom that has happened.

the one service I've used a couple of times are shit at the substituting concept. yes, I know I put organic potatoes in the basket but any old totty will do for fuck's sake!

Melon gives me a sore throat as it slides lovingly down my gullet. I think it's a mild allergy.

I love honeydew melon and could easily eat a whole one in one go but it makes the inside of my mouth swell and splits the corners of my mouth so I restrict myself to a third a day. It ends up so every time I open my mouth after about three days that the corners just rip open again so I have to have a few days away from it to heal. Then I start again.

I can't abide the smell or texture of watermelon though.

See that's the way I think about it. It must be a laborious task just wandering round with a list so if one of my daft notes raises a little smile they might not squash my bread underneath 24 tins of dogfood. I also put please and thankyou in them if there's enough characters left.

It's like when I was a decision maker for the DWP, having to decide good cause for failure to attend medical exams. I didn't care if it was a blatant lie, as long as it was a good story, well told.

I'm choosing to believe that, when you say 'in one go', you mean whole like a python.

One of the best things about having a kid is now he’s at the age he’s trying to get away with stuff, excuses and yarns. Its fucking hilarious knowing full well I tried all of the same tricks and then some, sometimes they’re worthy of the excuse and I let it slide to encourage more.

same here :( sometimes I wonder if we'll ever afford to upgrade from our cupboard...

It’s the price of living in the city :( I’m sure I can find something in the suburbs but I’m too young to live in a cul-de-sac

I’m alright, certainly wasn’t planning on spending me second year in quarantine but what can you do.

I can deal with the cold but I despise the snow. So slippery and I lack balance.
