so this is OUT. an absolutely incredible pop song which honestly leaves Gone in the dust. the adlibs! their vocals blending into one pool of gay disco dreams! the chorus, the outro! it's really all TOO MUCH

i thought gone was a racket. i tried with both people i've been sad (what an annoying title) and the polachek collab and am currently neither here nor there with either.
 
"People, I've Been Sad" might actually be my favourite song in the world right now.
 
the video/short film is pretty good. the interiors and polachek('s armpit hair) in particular are everything.

 
I Disappear In Your Arms is the standout for me.... the whole EP is so good though. Seeimg her at the Moss Club in London on Saturday. Not sure whether to expect a full show or if this is just to promote the EP as tickets were only a bargain price of £12!!!

I'm quite surprised her stock is so low on Moopy that seemingly nobody is losing their shit to La Vita Nuova. It's fucking godly!
 
what does people i've been sad remind us of? i swear it's just like an 80s song i know but it keeps eluding moi.
 
I've done a 180 and La Vita is clearly the pick of the bunch. Seeing her and Caroline perform it last Saturday in Hackney was EVERYTHING!

i don't think it's official, i just can't unhear it since i heard it.

i'm quite fucking happy at any rate - sweet dreams was always let a bit down by it's lyrics/video. this is just the ticket.
 
"People, I've Been Sad" is currently leading the pack as my favourite song of the year so far.

The Polachek duet is an absolute highlight from what has already been a SENSATIONAL year of music

Amazing pop duet 'Gone' : "a racket"

I'm late to this (despite having liked the EP since release), but: the video is SHIT THE BED INCREDIBLE, Gone is one of the best pop songs of the last decade and La Vita Nuova is battling out with a VERY strong field for the title of song of 2020 :disco:

God when she's running around in FLOWING ROBES for the Nada section of the video :disco:
When Caroline Polachek appears disguised as a TOOTH PICK :disco:

(not aimed at moopy) but how are gays not LOSING THEIR SHIT about this internet-wide.
 
The A.G. Cook mix is a bit too typically him, a bit too bleep bloop in places, but it really gets going in the second half when it becomes more glitchy piano-house.
