Christmas Eve IS the promo

I don't mind if @ (bloody hell what is the giraffe calling themself?) wants to tweak it around and start from your post :) I got my Cristina fix in on another thread (it's a pop classics forum exclusive).

No no, just posting my stupid pun was enough to get it out of my brain - I am now satisfied :disco:

Loving the farm buying chat this morning.

As is traditional, we're off to a shack on a coastal island to buy fresh fish, look at some boats and have a pub lunch.

Then we're hosting my parents this year for the annual sunset fish supper, which feels like a big deal, but is essentially SERVING FISH and drinking wine.

I'm POLISH TODAY

I miss our Christmas Eve tradition of going to the pantomime :(

Also why do middle aged people only buy the fancy M&S biscuits at Christmas?

There was a tradition pre-covid that this morning children would go around people's houses and knock on their doors and sing the christmas carols and then you had to give them christmas sweets and money.

MORNING ALL!

Still fairly full of cold, still waiting on a PCR test, still neg lat flowing, so still going to the inlaws, but then you can't have it ALL, can you? :basil:

In POSITIVE news, I've just iced my Christmas cake and have sold 17 12" singles in a bulk sale on Discogs, so that's nice.

Oh I looked and missed it. WHY WOULD YOU JUST CALL IT FRIDAY?

I realise this isn't a very inclusive opinion of me, in fairness...

I am annoying myself, gravy is prepped, red cabbage done, I’ve got two loaves worth of sourdough proving and just making some vegetarian haggis stuffing.

I need to leave some stuff for tomorrow or I’ll have too much time for drinking

In other news, got my boost jab, went and found a noisy cuddly toy to put in my niece's present that will annoy my sister and hopefully amuse me to make up for not wanting to be there. Going for coffee later, then a swim (I hope it's absolutely dead so I don't get out-paced by floating 80 year olds). A nice relaxing day.
