ALTHOUGH would it be possible for me to become:

It's still November, you're all being frightfully common

I agreed with this for years, until Covid made me realise "Fuck it, do what makes you happy." Christmas for me is ALL about the build up. Day after Boxing Day, I strip the whole lot down, DONE. If putting up my tree a few days "early" makes me common, so be it- it makes me feel warm, cosy, smiley and the lights help me deal with the darkness, which is something I really struggle with.

I can't argue with that tbh and have taken a similar approach, albeit still truncated. I used to be a 'week before christmas' kinda gal, but now will have it all happily from early December to have a solid three weeks of it.

Shops do seem to have turned younger generations into thinking it's the norm to go all in from early November, and that's too long for me loves.

I can't bear the Christmas music in the middle of October thing either, that's just nonsense.

I like the Christmas stuff BEING in shops, though, as I'm an early preparer. I like to have all my shopping done and dusted by the end of November, though I've entirely failed this year.

(I also am having a terrible morning- I presumed this discussion was about decorations in the decorations thread :D )

Visit Bethlehem would have been a fun festive twist on recent branding
