CLAUDIA WINKLEMAN (1 Viewer)

When I watch this, I too often find myself thinking that Claudia isn't anywhere near as witty as I had thought. There's just something slightly off about the whole thing.

I've not watched episode 6 yet. While it's not exactly massive on star power, I like all of them to varying degrees, so I'm looking forward to it, and feel I've settled into the show's vibe a lot more now.

There was a quite a brutal article about this in the Guardian recently.

I think I'll choose not to read that, as I know how I feel about it and and don't need to. But I do think that starting it straight after Graham Norton's show ended and in the same timeslot really wasn't a sensible move.

I still prefer this to Jonathan Ross.
Oh 100%

This week's was probs my least favourite, three very unappealing men but I enjoyed Cush. Claudia felt more in her element. I enjoyed her calling people who believe in star signs 'thick' :disco:

Also they fucked the Mr Blobby thing. It could have been a fun social moment if they had him come out as a surprise when Dan Levy was being told about him in sheer horror, not ten mins later when the moment had passed

If series two can sort out the guests, it'll be fine.

I loved Dan Levy and Cush Jumbo. Dunster is a likeable up and comer. The weird thing is that I don’t actively dislike Josh Widdecombe, but he’s just the latest in a long line of comedians who need to give it a rest on mainstream media appearances. It’s just too much.

there's nothing "brutal" about that Guardian article :D good lord

“Sometimes you have to try something to see how it fits, and I realised I was just too nervous to enjoy it. Maybe one day I will give it another try, but for now I already have the best jobs in the world and absolutely love the shows I’m doing.”

So it was axed and she got the opportunity to spin it, got it
I suppose she could have been led naked through the streets whilst people rang bells and screamed 'SHAME' at her but probably there is a clause in her contract prohibiting that as she is smart.

I’m sad but more because I want there to be another iPlayer chatshow to fill the void left by Norton cutting back his hours.

Hopefully the BBC will now just reboot Alan Carr’s Chatty Man and we’re good to go

It was always C4 I think, but I’m sure the BBC can get the IP or just bring us Alan Carr’s Talky Man

Didn't Chatty Man move to Channel 4?

Was always C4. Norton was 4 then moved to BBC1 and Wossy was BBC1 and moved to ITV1

This is a shame about Claudia, but she knows what she is doing and is laughing to the bank still. Davina only got one series too.
