UK jazz icon who used to be on TV a lot. I remember her from childhood, but unsure where exactly I would have seen her first. Presumably various light entertainment shows.

My brain thought this was Cleo Rocos at first.

Put me off jazz for years. I thought her and Johnny Dankworth's turns on The Two ROnnies was what jazz basically was when, in truth, it wasn't even representative of what THEY did, together or alone. My bad.

97's a damn good run. RIP.
