I thought this might be quite fun as we get closer to Halloween - sync watches of a few specially selected horror films that will hopefully be right up Moopy's street :emoji_smiling_imp:
I'll try my best to select things that are available online for free, but for anything that isn't I'll be sure to give everyone a few days' warning to source it themselves (and everything will be accessible through a £2.50 rental on YouTube or Amazon at the VERY worst).

Feel free to let me know if you're interested, or just turn up on the night. Our first screening will be this coming Wednesday, details in the NEXT POST :emoji_jack_o_lantern:

Our first film will be 1975's I Don't Want To Be Born, AKA The Devil Within Her, AKA The Monster, AKA Sharon's Baby (:D)

New parents Lucy (Joan Collins) and Gino (Ralph Bates) want only the best for their newborn child. But their baby boy has something of the night about him, filled with an inexplicable hatred. The freak child develops quickly becoming super strong. Despite the baby's presence at the site of various deaths, the doctors refuse to believe the child can be implicated. Only Sister Albana (Eileen Atkins) senses the evil within the tiny tot.

:o I've never watched I Don't Want to Be Born but it's on my list. There are a TON of British horrors available for free on YouTube, I assume this is one of them?

Yep, this is on YouTube but I think it's some sort of unofficial upload - perfectly good quality though!

I haven’t seen this one!

I hope it’s better than “Fear In The Night” :D

I didn't know about Fear In The Night, it looks like total nonsense :D

I would VERY STRONGLY recommend Sleepaway Camp for a future edition of this. The less you know about it going in, the better.

(it does feature some HIGHLY PROBLEMATIC elements, mind)

Sleepaway Camp is BRILLIANT. Yeah, I wouldn't suggest googling it because the image results alone totally spoil it.

So we are going for camp horror?

I was hoping more akin to The Exorcist.

That picture is fucking amazing.

I may be up for this. Mr Ag is into horror so can easily slip this shit on.

That's a good one! I'll add it to my list - I've actually never seen it, despite knowing the broad strokes (and wishing I didn't :eyes:).

I'm hoping for a bit of a mix of tones, but I'm definitely looking at stuff with an element of camp/at least one iconic woman character/things gay people likeas I think it'll make things more "Moopy". If this one goes well, my current top choice for the next one is Ken Russell's Lair of the White Worm so that may give you an idea of what I'm going for here :D

A quick reminder that the first film in this series, I Don't Want To Be Born, will be watched tomorrow evening at 9pm UK time!

Eight and a bit hours to go! Did I mention that Joan Collins plays a former stripper in this, and Eileen Atkins is an Italian nun? :lolly:

For anyone worried, my horror forum tells me Joan doesn’t actually get her tits out.
Bizarrely, Eileen is MINGE AKIMBO from the opening credits onwards.

Ooh then Exorcist 3 for that shit scary bit with the nurse. Or we could just watch that one scene on YouTube and save us the bother of watching the rest of it.
I've not seen the film, but that scene is amazing:

The SMASH CUT to the body being wheeled out :disco:

I haven't even heard of it :o I will take a look - I have a few on my list already, and I'm not sure how many of these we can realistically slot in before Halloween... though we could just keep them going after that, of course :emoji_japanese_ogre:

Well, I'm definitely in favour of these becoming a permanent fixture.

Wait Until Dark is fab!

Originally a play too, and apparently THAT jump scare was also included on stage.

A quick reminder that this is happening at 9pm! I'll post the video link at 8:45 :emoji_knife:
