The two genders of Eurovision song are head to head in Melodifestivalen this year and operating at PEAK PERFORMANCE - a best-in-class ballad about the pain of the last night with a BRIEF PARAMOUR, versus a drag brunch thrill ride about having to fight off your evil mutant twin while escaping to the countryside from NUCLEAR WAR :disco:




Which one do you choose?
 
They’re both good but Cornelia is more special so I hope it wins
 
I actually don't think Klara would be as much of a nailed on flop as the consensus thinks - I think there's definitely a televote audience for that sort of thing, and that it's got enough to it that the juries could at least be restrained to a mild eyeroll rather than active disdain. I could see it scraping into the top ten

I just don’t think ‘Run to the Hills’ is very good. I really really wish I did because I was rooting for Klara this time around.

That being said, I am not sure it would flop. She needs to work on the performance but there is almost nothing comparable to it in the line up right now.
 
I’m going with Cornelia comfortably winning the jury vote, with the other faves (Klara, Anders, Liamoo) still making up the top five but a bit behind. I think Anders is then the likely televote winner, though not by a landslide (particularly with Medina, potentially Theoz in the mix likely having a bigger impact on the younger demographics) and Cornelia finishing second/third and then winning overall.
 
Yeah, in terms of what else is in there in the same category as Klara, I'd say only really Sekret comes close so far (obviously Give That Wolf A Banana is closer but they're both shooting for different votes I think). There have been comparisons to Monster/Fuego for it vs Chanel - SloMo, except the difference is that we already have a very glaring warning sign that SloMo probably isn't going to have big televoter appeal

I think this is fairly on the mark, with the caveat that I don't think the one that's #1 on Spotify is likely to not be up there too with the public vote
 
I do worry about those international juries, goodness knows what is tickling the mysterious Simon Proctor’s fancy from his mother’s basement.
 
Cornelia of the two BY A VERY LONG SHOT but as I like to repeatedly bang the same drum, Medina OBVIOUSLY
 
Cornelia's song is genuinely stirring and she looks like a classy bird whereas Klara's look just screams FANCY DRESS so I can't even listen to what's on offer, much less LOOK at it

CORNELIA OR MEDINA FTW PLEASE otherwise I'm never going to IKEA again :)

I've finally bothered to listen to this and actually it's NOT BAD. I'm certainly not affronted by his look - he brings to mind a certain F. Kempe except significantly more on the VERS side and with a wider variety of facial expressions - and that chorus is really quite good, so if it's Cornelia, Medina or Anders who wins, I won't be throwing a temper tantrum :disco:

I'm amused by the notion of his constantly sitting in his apple tree :disco:
 
There's a hint of 'Quédate conmigo' in that Anders chorus which I suppose is no surprise given that shameless recycler G:SON is involved :disco:
 
I do declare Bigger Than The Universe to be the greatest Boström och G:son MF entry since Euphoria even if the thread isn't actually about the lovely Anders' efforts :disco:
