Is there a mask that won’t make me feel like I’m suffocating and not make me sweat.

I had to wear one of the masks at work last night, they’re HORRIBLE.

As for masks I have ordered one of those stretchy neck mask things for cyclists which I feel might be one of the less odd-looking options, but I probably shouldn't state that before it arrives :eyes:

I was thinking about buying one of them: link please. Alternatively we could all just never go out again and stay in bed forever

On the poopers front, I used to know someone who used them ALL THE TIME: in the street, at the shops, during relaxing nights out in the pub, etc. Unfortunately his lungs fell off or something, so I wouldn’t recommend it

restrictions here are easing. masks are no longer mandatory outside here anymore. groups of people sitting outside, drinking beers, etc.

we've had about 50 deaths here and usually under 50 new cases daily so far. people seem to think the danger has been overstated now and a lot of people seem to think they're already had it :eyes:

don't know how i feel about any of this. i'm still wearing my mask when i go out.

I’ve not wore a mask yet. Also where do you get them if you don’t have @Alla ’s neighbours? :(

Is your sister Mel B?

I would prefer not to wear a mask but eventually when life resumes, riding the subway and the bus during rush hour might be concerning.

Masks are going to be mandatory in public transport here.

However I'm waiting to get myself a fashionable one as well.

If they become mandatory someone better be providing me with one. I’m not normally stingy like that but after a 6 week wait for delivery of an online order of a digital thermometer that didn’t even work, I wouldn’t even know where to get one that would be guaranteed to turn up this year.

This is the bit I'm waiting for...Boris to dribble about masks being mandatory in the workplace, everyone asking if their workplace will pay for them and everyone getting the response "lol no".

It should be noted that the UK is maybe a day or two away from having the second highest death toll in the WORLD.

The mask DEBACLE here was the biggest issue we've had during this crisis. Masks and testing. First the government told us they were not efficient and imposing them would be simply useless. Then we were told we don't even KNOW how to use masks properly for them to work :eyes: :manson: Then they went to recommending masks supposedly because it was the scientists' fault who couldn't agree on a consensus and that it would be better to be on the safe side and just wear one. Now masks are going to become mandatory in public transport so pharmacies and soon supermarket will be allowed to sell them again.

Just came back from a one hour walking, it was like a scene from The Walking Dead, with people walking around but going nowhere in particular, but I feel so much better. Thank god for this.

But they better open the parks because it was a bit crowded. And also wearing a mask with this damn hot weather is just too much, not sure I'll be able to cope during the summer!

Also, I checked if anybody was wearing anything close to a Spiderman mask, but the world is not ready for this yet. :side-eye:

from the NHS?
No, I only took one that I wore when we had a suspected corona patient (it wasn’t corona) and popped it in my bag for when I nip to the supermarket as I’d only worn it for like a minute. I wasn’t shovelling boxes into my car :D

Where are you all buying masks from?

I was wondering that. They’ve got them for £1.99 at the offy round the corner but I don’t trust them to be of the highest quality at THAT price

FPP2 masks in the pharmacy. I guess cheap ones in every Chinese bazaar as soon as they open (I think tomorrow).

We don’t have Chinese bazaars in Hackney. We only have chip shops and Peacocks :(

Well whatever you have there, they are all Chinese ones here, in the South many good old Moroccan ones still survive the Chinese Empire.
