This government makes more u-turns than a dodgy plumber, but I suppose it's better than them continuing straight with all their bone-headed decisions. I just don't get why they're never facing the right way in the first place - "nah we'll ignore the tech giants and try to do our own thing", "nah we'll just let children go hungry over summer", "nah let's charge our NHS heroes fees for some reason" etc
Apple haters are going to love the reason they gave up though. Personally I rather like their "privacy or death" approach to things. The alternative is the high risk after all this is over, of the govt ending up hyping up the common cold as a reason to track everyone everywhere at all times.
Fingers crossed that by Autumn it'll be a wasted effort as we'll have stomped this thing into the ground! (Yeah I know, but we can dream)
