How do you know coronavirus is going to go away/not kill as many people in the future? No one does at this point. The flu killed 50,000 people a couple of years back and we have vaccinations for that (albeit different strains appear different years)
Fair - it may well stay, true.
But if that is the case, why don't we socially distance the fuck out of our entire lives and never open pubs and restaurants again to prevent those 50,000 flu deaths a year?
