There's all these bloody rules these days, apparently you're not even allowed to tie them up so they don't move for a bit anymore.
 
So this exercising rule. Are we allowed to drive 5 miles to exercise away from loads of people?

My local Ryde walks are all super busy, but 5 miles away I can walk in almost seclusion which seems safer. But I've no idea if it's allowed.

FUCK KNOWS. This is the whole problem.

I think the trouble is if you were to get into a car accident, the hospitals are struggling already.

Yeah I did think accidents will make things worse. Or breakdowns. But Mandy needs to go shopping anyway and has to drive, so we figured if I jump in the car as well we can walk.

Our police are now patrolling local beauty spots :(

I think you can do it fine, as long as you're prepared to be fined, spend two weeks being in the national newspapers and then eventually it'll get rescinded. Good luck!
 
Just don't take anything that could be construed as a picnic :DAF: and hope your police are more reasonable than the ones in Derbyshire!
 
Can I take a water bottle with me or is that classed as picnic :o

So far our police have only given people talkings to. Apart from a local gym that decided it was ok to have people in there working out, they got fined £2400.

Oh I’m well aware. Just worrying about you (U OK HUN?) as it seems just angry all of the time in here. I wasn’t really looking at it from the offloading point of view, though, so sorry. It came from a misguided place of love.

Then again, I ENTIRELY take your point :D
 
700,000 foreign nationals have left London in the last year, I imagine some of this is temporary but a 10% drop in population (excluding British people who’ve left) is crazy.
 
We drove 7 miles for our walk. Lots of other people seemed to have the same idea. However, once we started the walk we didn't see a single other person for 2 hours, it was absolute bliss.

No police either.
 
I'm surprised the R number hasn't really changed much the past 6 odd weeks considering numbers. Another 1.2k dead and 55k cases today
 
55k cases is NOT GOOD

The government has been celebrating the small 'success' of having cases under 50k for a few days running. WHOOPS
 
One of our clients went on holiday to Brazil over Christmas (everybody told him he was stupid, he wouldn't listen) and was due to come home last Monday. He was fine and got a test last Saturday because he needed a negative test to get on his flight home. It came back positive and he's very poorly with Covid and stuck in Brazil now so goodness knows when he'll be allowed back into the country.

I've just been stalking his FaceBook, it's full of photos and videos of him sightseeing and drinking in rock bars all last week. Nary a mask or social distancing in sight. Whatever he's got he deserves it and I'm glad he didn't get back over here with it.
