And you can tell some countries that are reporting nothing is because they're not testing (enough) people, there has to be a lot more infected people everywhere.

That films been a clusterfuck anyway hasn't it? I'm sure they were gagging for a chance to delay, and surely there'll be A LOT MORE people dying come NOVEMBER?

Poor Billie Eilish. She'll have moved on to her next album "I'm Fucking Evil But Not Really I'm Just Playing" by then and she'll have to drag herself back to that song.

I'll tell you what...all these things on social media about how low the mortality rate is for under 40's is NOT comforting when you're over 40...

Worse if you're coming up to 50. IF I GET IT AFTER NOVEMBER I'LL BE TOAST

I think I'm going to start panic buying.

Thing is, I am GENUINELY HALF TEMPTED to get a few properly essential BITS AND BOBS in just because people are going to be FUCKING STUPID.

Which, I know, is how panic buying becomes a problem in the first place.

When MRS SHEENA THE SENIOR worked in the Co-Op during the big snow storms we had 10 or so years ago, some man tried to buy 20 loaves of bread and she refused to serve him "because of the old people", had a blazing row with him, to which he got angry and she chased him out of the shop with the baseball bat they used to keep behind the till.

WHAT A WOMAN :disco:

It's like hand sanitizer. I was going to buy some a few weeks ago but didn't. Now you can't find it anywhere :o

I never use it anyway, but have installed them at work and so I've got LITRES of the shit lying around.

I should sell it.

So the airline Flybe has collapsed which is almost a direct consequence of this.

BUGGER! I have a flight with them booked in August and they basically serve the (quite marvellous) Southampton Airport, which is nearest to me.

I'm tempted to start coughing on my morning commute simply to get a bit of PERSONAL SPACE.

I remember the panic buying over petrol

Didn’t some woman end up blowing herself up by transferring petrol to a can in her kitchen? :side-eye:

It's the stocking up on BOTTLED WATER I don't understand. We're not going to run out of tap water.

I take 3 trains into work and 3 trains back, plus I am surrounded by children all day so I am predicting myself to be the first Moopy casualty.

I am showing my class the NHS washing hands tutorial video every morning and afternoon and have tried to leave even earlier in the morning to avoid lots of people on the commute, but I do think the writing is on the wall for me at this stage. Having said that, presumably my ancestors must have survived the Black Death during the 1300s so if they can hold on, so can I.

Damn. I just booked flights with them this week down to Southampton as I didn’t fancy driving or getting a train. I think the only other option is flying to London then making my way up to Southampton. That is nothing on all the poor people who will be losing their jobs...

Yeah but what happens if society breaks down and there’s no one to run the water companies?

PASS THE TIN FOIL HAT

A few litres of Evian won't last long during societal breakdown. Not unless you plan on RECYCLING it. :horny:

I have a flybe flight in june. But have booked on credit card so hopefully will get money back.

I didn't realise flybe still existed. Apparently they only fly to Jersey and Guernsey from here, and I'm not quite at that holiday stage yet.

I think they are going to be the first of many casualties, sadly...

If no-one comes to my 40th birthday party in a month because they are being FANNIES about the FLU then I will be RAGING!

Panic buying has gone into overdrive here. No pasta, rice, toilet paper, paper towels, oats, flour, or wet wipes left anywhere.

On the up side I had a quarantine crisis talk with my department today and we’re prepping to work from home :disco:

Our supermarkets are still full :D no panic buying for the STOIC Dutch

I think it’s just what the country needs, two weeks of everyone pretending to work from home, when in fact they’re just WANKING OFF and EATING BISCUITS.

At the same time? Ooh, no ta, I don't want digestive crumbs in there.

My Tesco were completely out of kitchen and bathroom cleaning wipes...just got some in Poundland.

Our office invested in some big bottled of hand-sanitiser...it turns out they thought they were being hip by getting one with no alcohol in it...when it's the alcohol that kills the virus.

OOOPS!
