I'm not sure if this LOVELY WEATHER is making the whole thing easier or more frustrating.

I can't QUITE decide.
 
i look at the awful numbers all day and i feel this dread that we're far from the worst still.

there needs to be some kind of breakthrough right now.

my grandfather is 96 and he can barely move or lead a conversation so he just sits and stares in one point... so i actually sympathised when she said that for that reason, but she's clearly just a selfish, hoax person.

It’s absolute nonsense that the government have said they will consider loosening the restrictions after 3 weeks. There’s no chance of that. All it does is raise false expectations.

I disagree with you there, to be honest. I think they can't say right now "IT'S GOING TO BE TEN WEEKS!" cause people will have a breakdown. People need hope to keep going.

But yes, you're right, they absolutely won't loosen the restrictions then.

I think we're just a few days behind. Just like they were with Italy. We're not testing everyone here, only people with accute symptoms. I know a lot of people with mild sysmptoms who just stayed home with no testing whatsoever.

I agree with this. I think there's a part of BoJo who feels like Trump and that he regards the economy as more important but it does feel as if calmer heads are prevailing now. They are still wanting as many people as possible to workworkwork but I think Bodger has finally realised that this is on him and is actually taking some advice for once.
 
I had wee dose of the sads this morning. Couldn't see any point in getting up. However, I am now up and about. It sounds as if we're all having days like this. It's inevitable, I suspect.

I'm absolutely terrified, I don't leave my flat at all, I already know people who are infected and some of them aren't doing well :( Luckily my relatives are ok so fa. It's going to be at least one month locked, but I guess it will be more, given the situation. :(
 
I'll tell you this. One more white wealthy cishet turns up on any of my timelines spouting ecofascism about "the earth healing itself" or bullshit about "Gaia has gifted you this time to reflect blah blah blah" and I'll be flouting travel bans with nothing more in my luggage than 2 baseball bats and a large cactus.

It was just that she said her husband was recovering from a stroke. So I suppose if he has another incident she won’t bother calling an ambulance because he’s “lived his life”.

NEW YEARS DAY FOR ME. Which was fine as I was meant to go to Brazil tomorrow for 2 weeks of IT.

I was fine living without it when it was always an OPTION. But now it could be THREE MONTHS!
