Corrie 2025

Glenda has been in it for three and a half years and I struggle to think of many storylines where she’s been the central character. There was the time she stayed overnight in the Rovers and it got broken into, and she suffered from PTSD…but in true Corrie style, that lasted about 5 minutes. Apart from that, she’s usually the supporting character in someone else’s storyline. It does seem a waste as she’s capable of a lot more.

I think it’s an overly blonde Audrey.

Does Glenda still run the Little Big Shotz School of Performing Arts for Wayward Weatherfield Teens or was it burned down by Hope when Ruby was given the lead in the Viaduct Bistro Summer Spectacular 2023?

I actually love Glenda, she feels like proper Corrie! And I do kinda enjoy George and Christine too. An odd (but fun) couple
 
Todd's rant! :D And Christina - "Are you operating him from behind?" :D This story seems to be moving along now at long last. Christina and George seem to work as a couple somehow

I do think it will be Megan that is murdered later this month, and not by Maggie but possibly Will?
 
I'm up to the episode where Theo has attacked Todd. I cannot for the life of me understand the change in him now. I do understand domestic abuse but the change in Todd is unreal. Bruno Langley was so different to this Todd

Another cheapo wedding, kinda fitting as they are such a naff couple. I just don't buy Carla turning lesbian or bi or whatever. Carla did look nice but I hated Lisa's dress with those silly bead things

MURDER WEEK this week, I thought Megan from the start so i'll stick with it (Will being the one to do it)

So they teased this murder story with an EastEnders flash forward and are now doing the reveal like the EastEnders 35th anniversary boat crash with the multiple perspectives.
 
Corrie is by far better than Eastenders at the moment. Even if they kind've ripped Eastenders off.
 
I've quite enjoyed this week (even the Jodie episode unexpectedly, thanks mainly to Sarah and drunk David), but it has become apparent that there isn't really enough plot to justify the same day being played out from four different perspectives in four different episodes, as fun a gimmick as it is. Not an awful lot has really moved forward ahead of Friday's climax.
 
Yeah I'm a bit bored of it all now. I'd like there to be a twist and it's Hilda Ogden's body they find!
 
Theo should have gone to court and prison for what he did, really disappointed Corrie have ended it like this and not for the first time either. The Theo/Todd story was fairly well done and the only saving grace now is that Todd has done it after all the abuse
 
So after this (rather boring) week I definitely think Todd did it. This is the correct outcome for this story and would make the most sense. If they make his ex wife the killer then I will stop watching this show seriously
 
The Maggie reveal turned out a damp squib.

All of the build up with flashbacks, blackmail, and even implications that she'd murder Megan over the secret.. and it's all handled over a cuppa and Ben having a minor sulk.

It feels like there's been a quiet change of plans behind the scenes. Maggie was very much introduced like she was going to be the next big villain with a fixed term arc. But now together with the Jim revelation, they've softened and already burned through all her "dark secrets" with little consequence.

I wonder if with Maureen Lipman increasingly unlikely to return in a meaningful way, there's now a desire to keep Pauline McGlynn instead as the resident acid tongue.
 
I saw an article earlier that described Izzy as a 'fan favourite' WTF!

I've not watched for a couple of weeks and don't think i'll bother catching up but I did come across this episode on youtube the other day and thoroughly enjoyed it. Such a stark difference when you compare it to today's output. A lot of missed characters here and the writing is SO much better! This is 2010 which i've always said was the last brilliant year of the show

 
I'm a bit behind and up to Sarah's arrest! Bloody hell was there any need for them to go in all guns blazing like that :D I'm convinced there will be a twist where he was still alive and someone else finished him off. Probably the ex wife.

Not sure what to think of the Betsy stuff?! Quite shocked at them doing such a story

The scene with Christina telling the others about her shopping addiction and fraud was brilliant. Glenda's reaction was hilarious :D Give me a good scene like this anyday over all the police drama

So Audrey is STILL in France? Not been seen since late last year apparently so I wouldn't be surprised if Sue Nicholls has quit now :( I did think she'd leave soon after Helen Worth left

Just how did Lauren get that job behind the bar, she has no customer service skills whatsoever. Surprised she's not been axed yet really. Where are they going with her?
