JW Andersen's first collection for Dior. Love his work for Loewe but not sure how I feel about this collection. He does make prep look more attractive than most other designers. But this collection just feels like he's doing the same old but just under a different name. The Bar jacket doesn't make the best inspiration for menswear in my opinion. Also, many resent him for the audacity of an ALL-TWINK cast.

It's a strong debut, but Margiela is a high fucking bar. As beautiful as the pieces are, they're effectively the house codes (deconstruction, up-cycling, proportion) regurgitated onto a fairly traditional silhouette. It doesn't give me that anti-establishment spirit that makes Margiela what it is. Galliano had really been the only one who's shown he understands that.

But one of the stronger HC collections for sure. Those pieces are going to be in every editorial.
