He really does seem like the kind of person who would be bottom of the pecking order in any normal office. It's so odd.

I think you have to remember his demeanour yesterday leaving his house is more true to what he's like - this timid act is just an act. He's barely masking his contempt for the whole situation

The way he was yesterday wouldn't get you anywhere in an office either. You've got to have some kind of charisma that helps get you promotions and into positions normally. It's utterly bizarre how he is unable to show any humanity ever.
