Cyndi Lauper - Bring Ya to the Brink - SYNC LISTEN

I like the stident production and how taut it is, and for me it absolutely updates and compresses the energy of Diana Ross's Give Up into something I could imagine came from Rex the Dog.

I always go back to Kylie's Steb Back In Time here as this is truly up there as a throwback to golden era disco. It's so jubilant and plaintive - it hits the jackpot for me.

Don't go there...baby
C'mon...
You know..
I. Love. You

What this song doesn't unleash isn't worth experiencing.

Imaginary single #3 with a performance on TGI Friday if it was still a thing being a real water cooler moment as we all talk about Cyndi crowd surfing during the final chorus.

Awash with distilled Bette Davis Eyes rhythms, this quite simply is her most timeless song since, well, Time After Time. And doesn't she excell at ballads with watery imagery? I am gripped once again.

HEY (HEY (HEY)) :disco:

Raging Storm :disco: elegant, slinky, ethereal banger

you'd better not do a BAD SHOW on MTV

I wish she had released a few more albums with original material rather than pick a theme covers.
