Dame Edna Everage/Barry Humphries DEAD

I remember thinking when that clip came out that he really had gotten them mixed up, because he seems so genuine and then genuinely confused. But it turns out he knew exactly what he was doing. What a legend!

I was at the filming of Dame Edna's new year special in 2019 (don't judge me, it was a TREAT FOR MY MOTHER) and during a break in recording he singled out a black lady in the front row and told her that he was glad she was enjoying it because with the dark coloured seats and lights out he could only see her when she was smiling. "R.I.P."

He was quite funny when not being a bigot, mind, but never struck me as a decent person. Paul O'Grady did it all better, in and out of character.
