Damiano David - Born With A Broken Heart (1 Viewer)

JUST AS THE PROPHET FORETOLD :o :disco:

Based on the tour being in late summer and the lead single being very stable I imagine they must have the ‘big one’ coming around May with an album? Tbh god knows how you plan a campaign these days.

I do hope an ESC turn comes to fruition :disco:

YouTube tells me he's been doing a few live performances of Next Summer (perhaps not nailing every moment vocally :side-eye: ) with a hair-and-earrings combination that make it look like he's gearing up to play a posh headmistress, or Mrs Danvers in a new version of Rebecca

I haven't always been the biggest fan of his voice in the past but he sounds quite lovely there... until that moment :D

Is it on par with “Sarah’s bum note (we love you Sarah)”?

This has passed 100 million streams now, and has notched up a great little chart life on the continent. Has now entered the Dutch charts and is on the way up and is also charting in Spain so should enter there next week - not bad given it was released six months ago.

Next Summer is also doing decently across France, Belgium, Italy and Switzerland. I imagine with the album in three weeks we will get it launched with the third single? If it’s good the campaign may end up being very successful, in Europe at least.

Voices is a misstep for me. It sounds like if James Newman was allowed to enter Eurovision a third time :gross:

Despite this, and despite the album’s title and cover being *awful*, I remain excited for it.

Is it a single or just a tide over until the album in a fortnight?

It’s quite Tom Grennan, so I rather like it, but I may be alone in that :D

I don't dislike it. It just sounds a decade old already.

I think just an EXTRA 'TREAT'. I hope so anyway, I don't need to see a video for this floating turd

I’m not having you froth over him only to drop off at the last minute dear, so hold tight and have faith!

Album's out on Friday and to tease it he's released a wanky short film with clips of some of the new songs.

As much as I think this and the album title are bad, I do appreciate his MOOPY-ESQUE CAPITALISATION

Zombie Lady is getting the NMF push and it’s rather good. As is the last track. The rest kind of washed over me, it’s all fine but I think he may be a singles act for me for the meantime.

The album's far more MID-TEMPO than I'd like, but not without promise.

Zombie Lady feels like the best song outside of the singles, as much as I'm not a fan of heterosexuality. I hope it can get a chart boost here after a Blue Peter presenter does a jive to it in Strictly Halloween Week

I suppose in the absence of any of the singles succeeding here, it's hardly unsurprising. And Måneskin never really managed to maintain success here past the first few singles. Has it fared better elsewhere at least?

Yeah, was anyone really expecting chart success for him here?! Hopefully it's done decently in Italy / the countries where people have heard of him.

Well I mean, I'm not particularly invested either way, but I would have expected the Måneskin fanbase alone to be enough to get him into the top 20.

UKMIX still EXISTS?!

Do they still have the new release review section? I am pretty sure half the demented Louise ones were ghostwritten by me.

I see it’s also updated on Wiki to show #1 in Belgium, #2 in Switzerland and #3 in Austria so seems to be rather a success across Europe all in all.
