What I wouldn't give for an old-school 12" vinyl single for this release!

And a US CD maxi single, the kind of which I used to drool over as a teenager.

While not rating it at the top half of this excellent album, I do get the wider appeal so bring the video, the remixes, the physicals, the playlist payola. Only ingredient missing from this era is a hit single.

Yes and I think that’s what’s driving the streaming interest for the song. I think it was like 25K instagram viral moments or something somewhere (the sharts are so confusing these days etc)

Apparently the proper radio push in the USA will be on Friday.

It's still a huge achievement I guess for her to have a solo track playlisted by Radio 1. It does seem to be a tick box exercise on their part though because really it should be A-listed.
 
Shame the VMAs aren't in a few weeks. Would have been perfect timing for the big scale promo this era deserves.

Great news though another top 40 single, and a 67 year old woman getting Radio 1 C-list WITHOUT a feature? Is that first, too?
