Danceteria (After Hours Charli XCX)

"this new place has a lot of new things - different DJs, flavoured cocaine" :eyes: right...

this is purely bait for the gay clubs who need a different version of the song to play sometimes. it's fine.

they also used a worse Madonna vocal take on various bits, notably the "Puerto Rican boys, they make me crazy" bit which is so FLAT now.
its the same vocal take isn't it - it's just on a different sound bed/ different fx

Yeah I think the 'win' is that it's on NMF and will give her a few more streams ahead of the VMAs performance.

Oh and the CD sangles will ensure some kind of UK chart position.. I can't imagine it'll be anywhere near Love Sensation's peak but I'm guessing top 40.

I wonder if it will outpeak its original no. 38 UK shart position

I kind of like it. It's fun.

Getting off the train at Hackney Wick is the hun version of getting on the elevator and running into Debi Mazar.

#100 on UK Spotify which seems pretty good. #35 with the ACR tracks removed, plus she has the standard version as well.

Should have a shot at the top forty, if the singles dispatch then possibly top twenty or so?

Anyhoo I think it’s a good bit of fun and Charli suits it well. It’s just a remix and is fine for what it is to have alongside the standard version.

I don’t know if it’s the VMA EFFECT but this remix now SLAPS

And on this note I think I will add here that Danceteria has entered my all time Madonna Top 10

After Hours finally in her top 10 daily spotify at 4 million.

Human Nature AGOG.

THE FACT that we have not one, not two but THREE entries from the current era in her Spotify top 10.

And the others being from the '80s, '90s & '00s.

MULTI GENERATIONAL QUEEN

Whats great is I do think in the next few years, whether the biopic happens or not, her legacy is really now starting to cross over into all aspects of social media more than before, heck 'Don't Tell Me' could easily go viral and huge if used on some mid-western netflix hit next year. This could happen to all songs/artists yes, but Madonna really has the catalogue and now MAYBE the team to push on all cylinders and I am loving it :disco:
