Best news ever for a Friday (for me), troublesome girl at work who was a friend but has caused me nothing but grief for a year has finally handed her notice in!

Really stressfull morning up to now. The new touchscreen self-service tills at Morrisons don't work with/recognise my cold fingers so I had to ask other people using them to press buttons for me as and when needed, felt like a right plum, then I arrived at work to discover the internet was down. Our phones also work on the internet. Accounting software is cloud-based as is the payroll software. Couldn't ring the IT/phone bods because I left my mobile at home and there was only me and new apprentice girl here and she's got no credit. So we sat around twiddling our thumbs waiting for office lad to arrive so I could ring the IT bods. He tipped up at 10am, I rang the IT bods and they talked me through faffing with the server and we're all good again now.

Now I know how my mum feels when confronted with new-fangled technology :D

That would be very much an "or" situation. You wouldn't do both. Once you've taken a shit in someone's handbag, calling them a cunt is just a given,isn't it?

When my company does a reference for her does it have to include how many sick days she's had or not?

No no! I've been very pleasant and professional. We've been getting on fine the last few weeks until her twat of a husband had a go at me and deleted me on Facebook.

Because we have to have return to work meetings with her every time she's sick (which is monthly).
So he had a go at me saying how unprofessional it was and she can't help being sick etc.
 
Yeah, I mean it would be far more professional to just let her be sick and not say anything.

Because she's been sick so much we have to ask her if there's anything she can do at home to make her feel better so that the sickness isn't so regular.

Apparently this was an awful thing to ask and how dare we talk about what she does at home.

She's in the lrocepr of being diagnosed with endometriosis. But we know full well she doesn't help herself to feel better. She's got an appalling diet and is verging on becoming an alcoholic.
 
It's fine if she doesn't want to help herself. But she can't expect work to cut her any slack for it.

Alcohol is known to be bad for endometriosis, isn't it?
 
Well good luck to her finding a more understanding employer.

Yep very bad. Just googling tells you that. And I know she's been poorly but she will go on a 3 day bender and post it all over FB and then call in sick and expect us to be worried for her. This has been going on for a year now!

Well she's got her new job lined up. She hasn't told them she's got a potential operation lined up for October. Its also a high sales and target job which she's never done before.

I'll remain friends with her for now just for updates.
 
Fuck being a teacher. That was a hard (but rewarding) day.
 
I am heading home tomorrow and bringing the main man in my life with me (my son). I am then flying from Ireland to Ibiza for a friends wedding. Packing was a bit of a bitch so I am just bringing EVERYTHING.
