Everyones favourite aussie pop star ( :eyes: ) is back with the first single off of her sixth album.

It's not necessarily what I expected, and I'm not sure it'll do a thing chart wise, but it's quite lovely nonetheless:

 
She's also been doing weekly mini-concerts on facebook and last night performed the first singles off of her albums: (18 minutes in for the new single)

I've been listening to this all morning and her voice really is incredible on this. I think it verges in to X Factor Winners Single territory as the song progresses but it would have made a lovely Eurovision entry.
 
Her stripped back piano balladry is SO drab and overdone at this point. She has 20 songs like this and most of them don't have any kind of hook to latch onto.

Child of the Universe is starting to feel like a strictly one-off exercise in expanding her artistry.

She was rumoured to be the entry the year that Dami ended up going. And I think I remember that she was working with DNA at the time who wrote Sound of Silence.

She also wrote one of their entries for junior Eurovision, so I think her time will come. Probably after the Voice gig dries up.

I can't say I'm a fan either aside from "Believe Again" and "Angels in the Room".
 
Oh I love a bit of old Delts. Don’t think I ever need a full album from her, but some mid-tempo AC ‘bangers’ from her always go down well.

zzz it's boring. Everything she's done after Wings of the Wild has been such a snooze.

Dullta's shriekathon VOX never fail to get me onboard with her dull as ditch TAT

Though I'm yet to hear her best that eardrum snapping note in Born To Try :disco:

When I met her she was a delight. So genuinely lovely. But this was right at the start of her career, so fame may have got the better of her.
 
The new one is very MOR but I quite like it :shy:

Boy George practically yawning during the performance is quite something :D
